THE RIDE FOR HEROES BICYCLE RALLY EVENT IS TO PROVIDE A SAFE ACTIVITY THAT ALLOWSTHE CITIES OF PARKER COUNTY THE AVENUE OF WORKING TOGETHER FOR THE COMMON GOOD OFITS COMMUNITIES. THE MAJORITY OF THE PROCEEDS FROM THIS EVENT ARE TO BE AWARDEDTO LOCAL NON-PROFIT GROUPS AND/OR ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE DEEMED AS HEROES OF EASTPARKER COUNTY. GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS TO BE USED WILL BE BASED ON THEIRNON-PROFIT SERVICES AND CONTRIBUTIONS TOWARD THE QUALITY OF LIFE WITHIN THECOMMUNITY IN WHICH THEY EXIST - THUS THE NAME RIDE FOR HEROES. THE EVENT IS TOALSO INCREASE LOCAL AWARENESS FOR THE SAFER CYCLING ENVIRONMENT.
