FCCAN'S MISSION IS TO CREATE COMMUNITY BASED ON FURTHERING ECONOMIC, SOCIAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE, SUSTAINABILITY, HUMAN RIGHTS, AND PEACE FOR ALL BY BUILDING COALITIONS, DEVELOPING STRATEGIES AND ACTIONS, AND SUPPORTING EXISTING PROGRESSIVE ORGANIZATIONS.

FUERZA LATINA JOINED ISAAC AND HELD 6 MEETINGS, TRAINING ON CONFLICT RESOLUTION WITH OUR COHORT OF 14 LONG TERM COMMUNITY LEADERS FROM MOBILE HOME PARKS AND GRASSROOTS PROJECTS, ALONGSIDE OUR EXPERT MEDIATOR, ATTORNEY PHYLLIS ROESTENBERG. TRAININGS INCLUDED LEARNING ABOUT MEDIATION SKILLS, IDENTIFYING OUR TRIGGERS, IDENTIFYING THE QUALITIES WE ADMIRE IN LEADERSHIP AND WORKING THROUGH HOW TO DE-ESCALATE SITUATIONS IN OUT HOMES, MOBILE HOME PARKS, AND COMMUNITIES.

DIA DE NINOS: FUERZA LATINA COLLABORATED WITH THE LIBRARY, SCHOOL DISTRICT, AND CITY OF FORT COLLINS CELEBRATING THE LATINX TRADITION HONORING CHILDREN AND EMPOWERING THEM. OVER 300 COMMUNITY MEMBERS ATTENDED.


HEALING JUSTICE WORKSHOPS: MONTHLY WORKSHOPS, TRAINING AND DEDICATED SPACES TO BRING PEOPLE OF COLOR TOGETHER WITH THE LARGER FORT COLLINS COMMUNITY TO ENGAGE IN HEALING ACTIVITIES RANGING FROM YOGA, MEDITATION, TAI CHI, COMMUNITY DISCUSSIONS, CREATIVE SPACES, WRITING WORKSHOPS, AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES. TWO MONTHS OF FREE YOGA OFFERINGS. 200 COMMUNITY MEMBERS BENEFITED
