THE TREES ACROSS COLORADO PROGRAM DISTRIBUTED 1,521 TREES TO 21 GROUPS & COMMUNITIES IN APRIL. THE CTC AWARDED 21 COMMUNITY GRANTS WITH 17 PROJECTS COMPLETED TOTALING $40,118. THIS INCLUDED FIVE XCEL FOUNDATION GRANTS AND TWO XCEL VEGETATION MANAGEMENT GRANTS. 4 GRANT RECIPIENTS COULD NOT COMPLETE THEIR PROJECTS DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS.SELBY DOLAN, A FIFTH GRADER FROM CREATIVITY CHALLENGE COMMUNITY (C3) SCHOOL IN DENVER WAS SELECTED AS THE WINNER OF THE 2021 COLORADO ARBOR DAY POSTER CONTEST. 28 SCHOOLS FROM ACROSS THE STATE SUBMITTED ENTRIES. OUR COMMUNITY EDUCATION EVENTS CONDUCTED VIRTUALLY INCLUDED FIVE FRONT RANGE URBAN FORESTRY COUNCIL MEETINGS.
