THE COLORADO VOCAL ARTS ENSEMBLE (CVAE) IS A REGIONALLY ACCLAIMED CHAMBER CHOIR DEDICATED TO EXCELLENCE IN THE CHORAL ART.

Part 3 - Line 4a
CVAE PRESENTED 4 SEPARATE CONCERT PROGRAMS AND 7 INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES IN OUR 2021-2022 CONCERT SEASON. THREE PROGRAMS WERE SELF-PRODUCED, ONE WAS IN COLLABORATION WITH PARISH HOUSE BAROQUE AND GLEN EYRIE CASTLE. A FIFTH CONCERT SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY HAD TO BE CANCELLED DUE TO THE OMICRON COVID SURGE. OUR PROGRAMMING SPANNED MUSIC OF THE RENAISSANCE THROUGH THE PRESENT DAY. 32 SINGERS PARTICIPATED THROUGHOUT THE SEASON. 10 INSTRUMENTALISTS PERFORMED WITH US, EITHER AS GUESTS OR AS COLLABORATIVE PARTNERS. THE SEVEN PERFORMANCES PRESENTED SERVED 1350 AUDIENCE MEMBERS. IN ADDITION TO PRESENTING CONCERT PERFORMANCES, CVAE BEGAN OFFERING FINANCIAL COMPENSATION TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE ENSEMBLE. 1) THE NAKED VOICE FRIDAY, OCTOBER 29 7:30 P.M. ST. MARYS CATHEDRAL 22 WEST KIOWA ST. COLORADO SPRINGS SINGERS PARTICIPATING: 32 AUDIENCE ATTENDANCE: 250 2) HANDELS MESSIAH COLORADO VOCAL ARTS ENSEMBLE AND PARISH HOUSE BAROQUE TWO PERFORMANCES. SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27 AT 4:00 P.M. AND 7:00 P.M. GLEN EYRE CASTLE SINGERS PARTICIPATING: 28 INSTRUMENTALISTS: 8 AUDIENCE ATTENDANCE 400 (TWO SOLD-OUT HOUSES) 3) WINTERSONG MUSIC, SPOKEN, WORD BY CANDLELIGHT.
