COLORADO YOUTH AT RISK EMPOWERS TEENAGE STUDENTS TO MAKE LIFE CHOICES THAT POSITIVELY IMPACT THEIR FUTURE THROUGH COMMUNITY-BASED MENTORING AND INTENSIVE TRAINING. COLORADO YOUTH AT RISK AIMS TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUTS, MATCH STUDENTS WITH AN ADULT MENTOR AND PROVIDE STUDENTS WITH A SENSE OF THE FUTURE AND THEIR PLACE IN THAT FUTURE. ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2017, COLORADO YOUTH AT RISK ENTERED INTO A "DONATION AGREEMENT" WITH DENVER URBAN SCHOLARS (DUS), A COLORADO 501C3 ORGANIZATION, EFFECTIVELY TRANSFERRING ALL REMAINING ORGANIZATION NET ASSETS TO DUS. ARTICLES OF DISSOLUTION WERE FILED WITH THE COLORADO SECRETARY OF STATE ON JANUARY 25, 2018 FORMALLY DISOLVING THE ORGANIZATION.

Part 3 - Line 4a

PROVIDED CURRICULUM FOR APPROXIMATELY 100 YOUTH ON HOW TO HANDLE THEMSELVES IN DIFFICULT SITUATIONS. EACH YOUTH IS PAIRED WITH A MENTOR WHO WORKS WITH THAT INDIVIDUAL FOR THE FOLLOWING 12 MONTH PERIOD, MEETING WEEKLY. ONCE A MONTH, THE GROUP ATTENDS A WORKSHOP LASTING 3 TO 4 HOURS
