THE FOUNDATION IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION FORMED TO PLAN, ORGANIZE, INSTITUTE AND ADMINISTER PROJECTS THAT PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR LONGMONT UNITED HOSPITAL AND THE COMMUNITY IT SERVES. THE FOUNDATION FINANCES ITS OPERATIONS THROUGH DONATIONS AND INVESTMENT EARNINGS. LARGE PROJECTS IN 2021 INCLUDED SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS TO INDIVIDUALS ADVANCING A CAREER IN THE HEALTH CARE FIELDS, REFURBISHMENT OF THE OPERATING ROOM FLOORS IN THE HOSPITAL AND COLLECTION & DISTRIBUTION OF GIFTS RECEIVED FOR COVID RELIEF/ASSOCIATE APPRECIATION. OTHER SIGNIFICANT PROJECTS INVOLVED GRANTS TO HELP PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FOR VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS WITHIN THE HOSPITAL.
