THE ORGANIZATION'S PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT AND SPEAK ON BEHALF OF THE CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN THE SCHOOLS, IN THE COMMUNITY AND BEFORE GOVERNMENTAL BODIES AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT MAKE DECISIONS AFFECTING CHILDREN; TO ASSIST PARENTS IN DEVELOPING THE SKILLS THEY NEED TO RAISE AND PROTECT THEIR CHILDREN; TO ENCOURAGE PARENT AND PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT IN THE PUBLIC SCHOOLS OF THIS NATION.

CONFERENCES, CONVENTIONS AND MEETINGS PROVIDE WORKSHOPS, SPEAKERS AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING TO OFFICERS AND MEMBERS. TOPICS ARE EDUCATION, HEALTH, SAFETY AND PARENTING RELATED.


TRAINING & OUTREACH.


SCHOLARSHIPS ARE AWARDED TO NEEDY COLORADO STUDENTS TO ATTEND COLLEGE. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS PROVIDES WORKSHOPS, RESOURCES AND TRAINING FOR PTA MEMBERS. ADDITIONALLY, LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITIES ARE CONDUCTED REGARDING ISSUES PERTINENT TO COLORADO'S SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN. THE NEWSLETTER KEEPS MEMBERS INFORMED REGARDING EVENTS, ISSUES AND OTHER RELATED INFORMATION.
