TO FOSTER COMMUNITY COLLABORATION AND HELP IMMIGRANTS NAVIGATE CONFLICT IN THEIR EVERYDAY LIVES THROUGH FACILITATED TRAUMA-INFORMED DIALOGUE SESSIONS, REFLECTIONS, AND VIRTUAL COMMUNAL ACTIVITIES.

COVID 19 RESPONSE EMERGENCY THIS INITIATIVE REACHED IMMIGRANT COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN VULNERABLE POSITIONS THAT SELF- IDENTIFIED AS ASYLUM SEEKING, OUT OF STATUS, OR UNDOCUMENTED AND HAVE DIRECTLY BEEN AFFECTED BY THE PANDEMIC. FUNDING DISTRIBUTION RANGED FROM $300 - $1600 PER FAMILY, AND A TOTAL OF $42,500 IN CASH WERE DISBURSED TO OVER 60 FAMILIES.IT WAS A SUCCESSFUL COLLABORATIVE EFFORT WITH OTHER LOCAL CBOS TO REACH OUT TO THE INTENDED RECIPIENTS, SCREEN, AND IMPACT OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS MOST AFFECTED BY THE PANDEMIC.IT HAD A STRONG IMPACT IN OUR COMMUNITIES IG MITIGATED ACCESS TO INFORMATION, CREDIBILITY, AND FACILITATED ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN MOST NEED THAT WOULD NOT HAVE OTHERWISE HAVE ACCESS TO THE EMERGENCY FUNDS.


COVID-19 VACCINATION CLINICSPARTNER ORGANIZATIONS: ICHS: INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES HEALTH SERVICES, WAKENYAWAN, AYDEPI - AFRICAN YOUNG DREAMERS EMPOWERMENT PROJECT; BUGANDA DEVELOPMENT CULTURAL ASSOCIATION; PNUAA - PACIFIC NW UGANDAN AMERICAN ASSOCIATION; CITY OF FEDERAL WAY - SACAJAWEA PARK AND SACAJAWEA MIDDLE SCHOOL. FUNDERS: ALLINWAIN TANDEM WITH THE EDUCATIONAL COMPONENT OF THE VIRTUAL DIALOGUE, IMMIGRANT GUIDE ORGANIZED FOUR VACCINATION CLINICS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ICHS SUPPORTED BY LOCAL IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES, COMMUNITY LEADERS, AND VOLUNTEERS. THE VACCINATION POP-UP CLINICS WERE ORGANIZED IN THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY IN WASHINGTON STATE BASED ON THE STRATEGIC GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION IN SOUTH OF KING COUNTY, IN CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE COMMUNITY MEMBERS WE INTENDED TO SERVE. THE COMMUNITY-BASED APPROACH IN FORGED PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER LOCAL CBOS


AS A WAY TO SUPPORT IMMIGRANT GRASSROOTS ORGANIZATIONS THAT SHARE THE SAME VISION OF SUPPORTING IMMIGRANT COMMUNITIES, WE FUNDED/COFOUNDED THEIR EVENTS AND PROGRAMS. THEY INCLUDED: BUDECE- $1500, PNUAA - $1500, WAKENYA WANORTH - $1000, UCOC - $1600.ON ADDITION TO THIS WE SUPPORTED 8 ASYLUM SEEKERS FROM THE MENTIONED COMMUNITIES WITH BASIC NEEDS LIKE PHONES, INTERNET, PHONE BILLS, FOOD SHOPPING GIFT CARDS, BABY DIAPERS, BABY STROLLERS, BABY CLOTHES AND RENT.
