THE INITIAL PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ENHANCE THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE OMAHA METROPOLITAN COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO PUBLIC AND CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS AND BY ASSISTING IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF FACILITIES WHICH WILL ASSIST IN ACHIEVING THAT GOAL.

IN 2019, THE ORGANIZATION ENTERED INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA TO ASSIST IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FACILITIES FOR THE STUDENTS AT UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA AT OMAHA. UNDER THE AGREEMENT, THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS THE ASSETS OF THE PROJECT UNTIL THE EXPIRATION OR TERMINATION OF THE AGREEMENT AT WHICH TIME THE TITLE TO THE FACILITIES SHALL AUTOMATICALLY VEST IN THE UNIVERSITY. DURING 2021, THE ORGANIZATION TRANSFERRED OWNERSHIP OF THE BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL FACILITIES TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA AT OMAHA AND RECOGNIZED EXPENSE RELATING TO THIS TRANSFER.
