THE PURPOSE OF THE KENTUCKY/WEST VIRGINIA ALLIANCE OF YMCA IS TO PROTECT, EMPOWER, STRENGTHEN, AND SUPPORT ITS LOCAL YS BY COLLECTIVELY AMPLIFYING IMPACT AND MESSAGING ACROSS THE REGION IN THE AREAS OF YOUTH DEVELOPMENT, HEALTHY LIVING AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. THE ALLIANCE ACHIEVES THIS PURPOSE BY PROVIDING A DYNAMIC PLATFORM FOR COLLECTIVE ADVOCACY, MULTI-LEVEL Y TO Y NETWORKING, AND SHARING OF BEST PRACTICES AND RESOURCES.

THE ALLIANCE OF KENTUCKY/WEST VIRGINIA PROVIDES SERVICES TO ALLIANCE MEMBER YS WITHIN KENTUCKY AND WEST VIRGINIA IN THE AREAS OF BOARD DEVELOPMENT, STRATEGIC PLANNING, RELATIONSHIP BUILDING, FACILITATING MANAGEMENT AGREEMENTS, SHARED SERVICES AND MERGERS AND ADVOCACY. THE PROGRAM SERVES TO BUILD ORGANIZATIONAL CAPACITY OF ALLIANCE MEMBER YS; BUILD STRONG NETWORKS TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEER-TO-PEER LEARNING AND SUPPORT; FORM COLLABORATIONS TO ADVANCE STRATEGIC GOALS; AND ADVOCATE AND ADVANCE STATE LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES.
