OLD BILL'S FUN RUN / TIN CUP CHALLENGE - SINCE 1997, THE FOUNDATION HAS PRODUCED OLD BILL'S FUN RUN, AN INNOVATIVE INITIATIVE THAT HAS GENERATED OVER $208 MILLION TO DATE. EACH YEAR, MR. & MRS. OLD BILL CREATE A MATCHING GRANT OPPORTUNITY THAT CHALLENGES THE COMMUNITY TO GIVE. DONORS MAKE A SINGLE GIFT TO BENEFIT ONE OR MORE NONPROFITS, WHO RECEIVE 100% OF THE DONATIONS DESIGNATED TO THEM ALONG WITH A PARTIAL MATCHING GRANT. IN 2008, THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF TETON VALLEY LAUNCHED THE TIN CUP CHALLENGE, MODELED AFTER OLD BILL'S, WHICH HAS GENERATED OVER $18 MILLION TO DATE. IN 2021, APPROXIMATELY 4,200 DONORS GAVE $19.7 MILLION TO SUPPORT 208 ORGANIZATIONS PARTICIPATING IN OLD BILL'S; OVER 1,300 DONORS GAVE A $2.2 MILLION TO SUPPORT 46 ORGANIZATIONS PARTICIPATING IN TIN CUP.


FUND ADMINISTRATION - THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION MANAGES OVER 240 FUNDS DESIGNED TO MAKE PHILANTHROPY EASY AND EFFETIVE FOR LOCAL DONORS AND TO PROVIDE COST EFFECTIVE ASSET MANAGEMENT FOR LOCAL NONPROFITS. IN 2021, THE FOUNDATION RECEIVED APPROXIMATELY 900 GIFTS, TOTALING $21.4 MILLION, FOR THESE FUNDS AND PROCESSED OVER 2,400 GRANTS, TOTALING $17.8 MILLION, FROM OUR DONOR-ADVISED, DESIGNATED, AND OTHER ADVISED FUNDS, INCLUDING INTERFUND GRANTS, TO BENEFIT QUALIFIED CHARITIES WORKING IN A VARIETY OF FIELDS THROUGHOUT THE U.S.


DISCRETIONARY GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS, & FELLOWSHIPS - THE FOUNDATION'S DISCRETIONARY GRANT PROGRAMS PROVIDE FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE EFFECTIVELY ADDRESSING IMPORTANT COMMUNITY NEEDS. THE YOUTH PHILANTHROPY PROGRAM INTRODUCES LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO STRATEGIC GRANT MAKING, WHILE A VARIETY OF SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES HELP THEM TO PURSUE THEIR EDUCATIONAL DREAMS. IN 2021, THE FOUNDATION'S GRANT PROGRAMS PROVIDED OVER $1.1 MILLION TO 118 ORGANIZATIONS WORKING IN JACKSON HOLE AND TETON VALLEY, AND 178 STUDENTS WERE AWARDED APPROXIMATELY $520,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS. THE COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE FUND, FORMED TO ADDRESS THE IMPACT OF COVID-19, GRANTED OVER $900,000 TO 15 ORGANIZATIONS.


OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES - IN ADDITION TO FUND ADMINISTRATION, OLD BILL'S FUN RUN, AND COMPETITIVE GRANTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS, THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION ALSO SUPPORTS LOCAL NONPROFITS BY OFFERING CLASSES ON NONPROFIT MANAGEMENT (E.G. BOARD DEVELOPMENT, GRANT WRITING, SUSTAINABILITY, ETC.), COORDINATING NETWORKING AND INFORMATION SHARING OPPORTUNITIES (E.G. BREAKFAST CLUBS, VOLUNTEERJACKSONHOLE.ORG, AND A NONPROFIT LIST-SERVE) AND PROVIDING TECHINCAL ASSISTANCE AND CONSULTING, AS REQUESTED. IN 2021, OVER 450 PARTICIPANTS (REPRESENTING OVER 200 ORGANIZATIONS) ATTENDED 23 CLASSES, WORKSHOPS, OR NETWORKING EVENTS OFFERED BY THE FOUNDATION. 20 NONPROFITS POSTED 34 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ON THE VOLUNTEER JACKSON HOLE WEBSITE, AND APPROXIMATELY 1,650 INDIVIDUALS SUBSCRIBE TO THE NONPROFIT LIST-SERVE HOSTED BY THE FOUNDATION.
