MORE THAN 750 ORGANIZATIONS OPERATING PRIMARILY WITHIN THE STATE OF IDAHO WERE THE RECIPIENTS OF GRANTS. OVER 1,400 INDIVIDUAL GRANTS WERE AWARDED TO PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR GENERAL OPERATIONS AND SPECIFIC PROJECTS. OF THESE MORE THAN 450 WERE AWARDED FOR SOCIAL SERVICES, MORE THAN 350 FOR EDUCATION, OVER 200 FOR ARTS & CULTURE AND OVER 150 FOR HEALTH. THE REMAINING GRANTS WERE FOR LIBRARIES, PROJECTS, RECREATION, EMERGENCY SERVICES, CONSERVATION AND ENVIRONMENT.
186 EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS TOTALING $429,415 WERE PROVIDED DIRECTLY TO EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS FOR THE BENEFIT OF SPECIFIC INDIVIDUALS. THESE SCHOLARSHIPS WERE AWARDED THROUGH COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS.
