THE PRIMARY ACTIVITY IS AN ANNUAL CONFERENCE SHOWCASING BALTIMORE CITY'S NONPROFIT AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, INNOVATORS, ENTREPRENEURS AND ARTISTS FOR VISITING ALUMNI OF BALTIMORE CITY TO ENCOURAGE PHILANTHROPIC AND BUSINESS INVESTMENT. THE THIRD CONFERENCE WAS HELD ON MAY 4-6, 2022 FOLLOWING A 2-YEAR HIATUS DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.SECONDARY ACTIVITIES INCLUDED HOSTING REGIONAL GATHERINGS ACROSS THE U.S. TO MEET AND CULTIVATE RELATIONSHIPS WITH HIGH-CAPACITY BALTIMORE ALUMNI IN EFFORTS TO SPUR PHILANTHROPIC AND BUSINESS INVESTMENT AS WELL.TO SUPPORT THESE GOALS, BALTIMORE HOMECOMING HOSTS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT PROGRAMS THAT SOURCE PUBLIC FEEDBACK ON THE PEOPLE, LEADERS, DOERS, ORGANIZATIONS, AND ENTREPRENEURS WHO THE COMMUNITY BELIEVES SHOULD BE HIGHLIGHTED. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE HOMECOMING HERO AWARDS AND THE CRAB TANK STARTUP PITCH COMPETITION.WE ENGAGE A HOST COMMITTEE OF 40+ BALTIMORE CITY COMMUNITY LEADERS TO BE A PART OF THE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SELECTION PROCESSES, TO INFORM PLANNING FOR THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE, AND TO HELP STEWARD RELATIONSHIPS WITH OUR ALUMNI NETWORK.
