HERTWIG HAVEN PROVIDES SANCTUARY TO ABANDONED AND NEGLECTED FARM ANIMALS.IN 2022, WE ACCEPTED A FERAL DONKEY, APPROXIMATELY 12 YEARS OF AGE, WHO HAD BEEN ABANDONED IN A LOCAL PASTURE FOR MANY MONTHS AS WELL AS A GELDING, APPROXIMATELY 6 YEARS OF AGE, WHO HAD BEEN SENT TO A KILL PEN IN TEXAS AND WAS SUBSEQUENTLY INJURED IN A TRAILER ACCIDENT.BOTH ARE CURRENTLY THRIVING HERE. HERTWIG HAVEN PROVIDED FOOD, SHELTER, REGULAR VET CARE AND MAINTENANCE IN 2022 FOR 5 HORSES, 1 DONKEY, 3 ALPACAS, 4 SHEEP, 4 DOGS, 10 CATS AND 9 CHICKENS. ALL ANIMALS ARE UP TO DATE ON VACCINATIONS.
