Describe the Organization's Mission:

Part 3 - Line 1

PARTNERING WITH ACRES OF HOPE UGANDA TO MEET THE NEEDS OF ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN ACADEMICALLY, PHYSICALLY, SPIRITUALLY, SOCIALLY, AND ECONOMICALLY VIA SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT THAT EMPOWERS COMMUNITIES IN THE DEVELOPING WORLD.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

SPONSORSHIP CONTRIBUTIONS ARE PROVIDED TO ACRES OF HOPE UGANDA (AOHU) AND USED FOR THE BENEFIT OF ALL AOHU CHILDREN. REVENUE PROVIDES SCHOOL FEES, SCHOOL UNIFORMS, HEALTHCARE, FOOD, AND OTHER BASIC NEEDS FOR THE CHILDREN AT AOHU.

INFRASTRUCTURE CONTRIBUTIONS ARE PROVIDED TO ACRES OF HOPE UGANDA (AOHU) AND USED FOR BUILDING SCHOOL FACILITIES AND IMPROVING THE POD HOUSES FOR THE CHILDREN OF AOHU.

THE COVID RELIEF FUND IS A TEMPORARY PROGRAM SET UP TO ADDRESS EXTREME HUNGER CREATED WHEN THE UGANDAN GOVERNMENT PLACED SCHOOLS, MARKETS, PRIVATE TRANSPORTATION, BUSINESSES, AND CHURCHES UNDER LOCKDOWN IN RESPONSE TO THE SPREAD OF COVID-19. ACRES OF HOPE SCHOOL WAS FORCED TO CLOSE AND THE CHILDREN CARED FOR BY AOHU WERE FORCED TO RETURN TO THE VILLAGES FROM WHICH THEY CAME. THEIR CAREGIVERS HAD NO ACCESS TO FOOD AND CLEAN WATER SO AOHU WORKED WITH LOCAL OFFICIALS TO GET FOOD TO THE AOHU SPONSORED CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. THEY ALSO WORKED WITH LOCAL OFFICIALS TO GET WORKBOOKS AND ASSIGNMENTS TO THE CHILDREN IN AN ATTEMPT TO KEEP THEM FOCUSED ON SCHOOL.

WOMAN'S EMPOWERMENT FUNDS ARE USED IN TWO WAYS: 60 PERCENT ARE USED FOR CRAFT ITEMS PRODUCED BY THE CAREGIVERS AT ACRES OF HOPE AND 40 PERCENT ARE USED AS SEED MONEY FOR THE WOMEN TO START NEW SMALL BUSINESSES.
