WE STRIVE TO IMPROVE PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, COGNITIVE, AND SOCIAL ASPECTS OF THE LIVES OF INDIVIDUALS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS AND VETERANS BY PROVIDING THERAPEUTIC RIDING LESSONS, CLASSES AND FARM EXPERIENCES. WE HARNESS THE SPIRIT OF THE HORSE TO CHANGE LIVES.

IN 2021, WE WORKED WITH MORE THAN 121 UNIQUE RIDERS AND PROVIDED SOME 480 CLASSES. VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED OVER 6,700 HOURS OF SERVICE TO FACILITATE OUR SKILL-APPROPRIATE CLASSES-FROM PRESCHOOLERS ON PONIES TO INDEPENDENT RIDERS ON HORSES. WORKING IN CONJUNCTION WITH OUR LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, OUR FARM EXPERIENCE PROGRAM IS A HANDS-ON INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE WITH FARM CHORES, AGRICULTURAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVITES AND CARING FOR ANIMALS. OUR CURRICULUM FOSTERS CONFIDENT, INDEPENDENT AND RESPONSIBLE INDIVIDUALS, WHILE STIMULATING THEIR INTEREST IN FUTURE EDUCATIONAL AND CAREER OPPORTUNITIES. OUR CLASSES ARE GEARED TO RIDERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS SUCH AS CHILDREN WITH AUTISM AND RETURNING VETERANS TO PROVIDE THERAPY THAT CHANGES LIVES.
