THE HUGGING TREE LEGACY IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES COMMUNITIES THE SUPPORT AND SERVICES NECESSARY TO SUSTAIN A BALANCED AND HEALTHY LIFE. ITS MISSION IS TO PROVIDE PROGRAMS THAT ENHANCE COMMUNITY INTERGENERATIONAL EXPERIENCES AND OPPORTUNITIES WHILE MAINTAINING AFFORDABILITY. THE HUGGING TREE LEGACY CURRENTLY HAS THREE BRANCHES UNDER ITS CANOPY: AFFORDABLE LIVING, EDUCATION AND ARTS. THROUGH ITS AFFORDABLE LIVING BRANCH, IT ENDEAVORS TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR AFFORDABLE HOUSING USING ALTERNATIVE ENERGIES AND PERMACULTURE TECHNIQUES. ITS EDUCATION AND ART BRANCHES WILL SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY SCHOOLS AS WELL AS ESTABLISH INTERGENERATIONAL PROGRAMS FOR COLLABORATIVE LEARNING AND ARTS.
