DCAN PROACTIVELY SPONSORS EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES AND ADVOCACY PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE INFORMED POLICYMAKING ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF ACCESS TO APPROVED THERAPIES AND APPROPRIATE CLINICAL CARE.

DCAN PRODUCES EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND RESOURCES DESIGNED TO INFORM STAKEHOLDERS ABOUT THE BENEFITS OF PATIENT ACCESS TO APPROPRIATE DERMATOLOGY HEALTHCARE TO MANAGE SKIN CONDITIONS. DCAN HAS PRODUCED OR PROMOTED WHITE PAPERS, INFOGRAPHICS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES THAT SERVE TO HIGHLIGHT ACCESS ISSUES AND THE CONSEQUENCES OF BARRIERS TO ACCESS TO OPTIMAL SKIN HEALTH.
DCAN PARTICIPATES IN VARIOUS EVENTS INCLUDING POLICY FORUMS AND MEDICAL SOCIETY MEETINGS THAT HIGHLIGHT ISSUES IMPACTING ACCESS TO DERMATOLOGY CARE AND SKIN HEALTH. GOING FOWARD, DCAN INTENDS TO SPONSOR POLICY FORUMS AND SELF MANAGEMENT WORKSHOPS.
DCAN ENGAGES IN ADVOCACY INITIATIVES IN ORDER TO PROMOTE INFORMED POLICYMAKING RESPECTING ACCESS TO DERMATOLOGY CARE AND SKIN HEALTH. THESE INCLUDE MAKING COMMENT ON PROPOSED POLICIES, LEGISLATION AND REGULATIONS.
