SIXTHIRTY GROUP FOCUSES ON BUILDING THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION BY INCUBATING AND ENABLING INNOVATION IN EDUCATION. WE EXPLORE NEW WAYS TO MAKE EDUCATION MORE WIDELY AVAILABLE AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION AROUND THE WORLD. SIXTHIRTY GROUP BUILDS AN EXPERTISE AND KNOWLEDGE BASE RELATED TO ADOPTING NEW THINKING OF EDUCATION AND DEVELOPING EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY.

FOR THE SIXTHIRTY INSPIRATIONAL WEBINAR SERIES IN 2023, WE HOSTED FOUR SESSIONS WITHOUT ANY GRANTS. WE WERE ABLE TO BE PROFITABLE THROUGH PROGRAMMING AND BROCASTING FEES FROM PRIVATE ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS. WE PAID AN AVERAGE OF $5,000 AS HONORARIUM PAYMENT TO EACH OF THE FOUR SCHOLARS FOR THEIR TIME AND GENEROUS SUPPORT.


THE 2023 CAPSTONE SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAM IS THE FIRST YEAR OF PROGRAM OPERATION. WE SUCCESSFULLY HOSTED THE PROGRAM AT COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY AND THE UNIVERSITY OF CAMBRIDGE BETWEEN JULY AND AUGUST, WELCOMING 80 STUDENTS AND FIVE PROGRAM INSTRUCTORS. STUDENTS LIVED IN COLLEGE DORMS AND STUDIED WITH THEIR INSTRUCTORS IN COLLEGE CLASSROOMS. WE WERE ABLE TO BE SELF-SUSTAINED THROUGH STUDENT TUITION AND ACCOMMODATION FEES, SO WE DID NOT RECEIVE ANY GRANTS FOR THIS PROGRAM. WE WERE ALSO ABLE TO HELP FOUR STUDENTS WAIVE THEIR ACCOMMODATION FEES.
