THE GENERAL PURPOSES OF THE REGIONAL COMMUNITY PARK FOUNDATION ARE PUBLIC, CHARITABLE, AND EDUCATIONAL. ITS MISSION IS TO BRING MUCH-NEEDED FACILITIES, (I.E., A REGIONAL COMMUNITY PARK), TO TUOLUMNE COUNTY TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF HEALTHY RECREATION, AS WELL AS COMMUNITY COHESION AND ENRICHMENT. SPECIFICALLY, THE PURPOSE OF THE NON-PROFIT IS TO DESIGN, DEVELOP, FUNDRAISE, PERMIT, CONSTRUCT, AND MANAGE THE FACILITIES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITY THROUGH RECREATION, SPORTS, AND THE ARTS.THE PARK FOUNDATION IS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT REACHING A PURCHASE AND SALE AGREEMENT WITH SONORA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT BY THE CLOSE OF 2018 TO OBTAIN 112 ACRES OF CENTRALLY LOCATED LAND TO DEVELOP A PUBLIC PARK.
