COMMUNITY ACUPUNCTURE CLINICS - PROVIDE LOW COST ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENTS TO INDIVIDUALS. DUE TO COVID, THE COMMUNITY CLINIC WAS CLOSED FROM JULY 2020-SEPT 2020 THEN FROM OCT 2020-FEB 2021 WAS ONLY OPEN TO PATIENTS WITH SEVERE CONDITIONS. IN FEB WE RE-OPENED WITH LIMITED NUMBERS ALLOWED. 1323 LOW COST ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENTS WERE PROVIDED AT THE COMMUNITY CLINIC OVER THE YEAR. 10 FREE TREATMENTS WERE GIVEN. 140 TREATMENTS WERE GIVEN BELOW THE LOWER END OF THE SLIDING SCALE.ACUDETOX PROGRAMS - AFFILIATED SPECIALISTS AND ACUPUNCTURISTS PROVIDED ACUDETOX SERVICES IN SEVEN NM COUNTIES. PROGRAMS WERE STILL CLOSED DOWN THIS YEAR DUE TO COVID, BUT SPECIALISTS PROVIDED VOLUNTEER SERVICES TO THEIR COMMUNITIES AND GAVE 904 ACUDETOX TREATMENTS AND 1685 EAR ACUPRESSURE SEED TREATMENTS TO INDIVIDUALS OVER 518 DAYS. PHANM PROVIDED SUPERVISION VISITS FOR 22 SPECIALISTS. IN ADDITION, TECHNICAL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO THE ACUDETOX PROGRAMS INNEW MEXICO. 150 HOURS OF TECHNICAL SUPPORT HOURS WERE PROVIDED TO ACUDETOX PROGRAMS AND SPECIALISTS IN NEW MEXICO. ACUPUNCTURE SUPPLIES WERE PROVIDED TO 20 ACUDETOX SPECIALISTS. INSURANCE WAS PROVIDED FOR 26 ACUDETOX SPECIALISTS AND 6 SUPERVISORS.TRAININGS IN-PERSON TRAININGS WERE CLOSED DOWN THIS YEAR. NINE EAR SEED TRAININGS WERE GIVEN TO 94 PARTICIPANTS INCLUDING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, TEACHERS, NUNS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC TOTALING 263 PERSON/HOURS. FIVE TRAININGS WERE GIVEN TO OUR MRC GROUP MEMBERS TOTALING 56 PERSON/HOURS. WE CONTINUED TO PROVIDE 74 SUPERVISED INTERNSHIP VISITS TO LAST YEARS ACUDETOX TRAINEES BOTH IN-PERSON AND ONLINE. WE GAVE 1 PRESENTATION TO 30 PARTICIPANTS AND PRESENTED OUR ACUDETOX PROGRAM DATA TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC HEALTH ASSOCIATION TO AN UNKNOWN NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS. IN TOTAL WE PROVIDED 349 PARTICIPANT/HOURS OF TRAININGS IN NM. IN ADDITION, PROFESSIONAL ACUPUNCTURISTS PROVIDED 145 GAAP VOLUNTEER HOURS; ACUDETOX SPECIALISTS PROVIDED 145 GAAP VOLUNTEER HOURS AND NON-PROFESSIONALS PROVIDED 121 NON-GAAP VOLUNTEER HOURS.PHANM CONTINUES TO HOST THE NM INTEGRATIVE WELLNESS MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS (MRC) WHICH HAS 40+ MEMBERS CROSS-TRAINED IN ACUDETOX AND PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID. THE MRC HAS BEEN DEPLOYED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS TO HELP WITH THE COVID PANDEMIC AND AFTER SUICIDES AND CRITICAL INCIDENTS AROUND NM.
