EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR ABOUT 250 ETHNIC TIBETAN CHILDREN, AGES 5-15, IN LOW INCOME AREA IN SURMANG VALLEY, QINGHAI PROVINCE, CHINA. SCHOOLING MEALS PROVIDED FOR 2 MONTHS, 7 DAYS/WEEK.
CONSTRUCTION AND FURNISHINGS FOR THE SURMANG SHEDRA (SCHOOL) BUILDING COMPLEX, 25,000 SQUARE FEET IN SIZE, WHICH IS NOW LARGELY COMPLETED. THE SCHOOL IS LOCALLY OWNED AND ADMINISTERED.
