VALUES THROUGH HISTORY (VTH) CREATED THE WHY AMERICA IS FREE CURRICULUM, A HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL NON-PARTISAN, UPPER ELEMENTARY, INTEGRATED SIX-WEEK CURRICULUM CORRELATED TO STATE AND NATIONAL STANDARDS. IT USES BEST TEACHING METHODS TO FULLY ENGAGE ALL STUDENTS IN DYNAMIC, HANDS-ON, PROFOUND LEARNING. IT IS UNPARALLELED IN PROVIDING THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE ACCURATE UNDERSTANDING OF THE NATIONS FOUNDING HISTORY, FOUNDATIONAL DOCUMENTS, AND CIVIC PRINCIPLES. IT RESULTS IN STUDENTS WHO UNIFY ACROSS CULTURAL AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC DIVIDES AND GAIN THE TOOLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND INSPIRATION TO BECOME PEOPLE OF OUTSTANDING CHARACTER AND RESPONSIBLE ENGAGED GOOD CITIZENS. THE WHY AMERICA IS FREE CURRICULUM IS NOW IN 150 SCHOOLS, IN 14 STATES, AND HAS REACHED NEARLY 95,000 CHILDREN. VALUES THROUGH HISTORY (VTH) STAFF CONDUCTS ONSITE TRAINING PRESENTATIONS AND WORKSHOPS TO FURTHER THE SUCCESS OF ITS CURRICULUM THROUGH:TRAINING VOLUNTEERS TO INTRODUCE THE CURRICULUM TO EDUCATORS AND ADMINISTRATORS WITHIN THEIR AREAS.TRAINING EDUCATORS THROUGH FULL DAY WORKSHOPS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE CURRICULUM.CONSULTING AT SCHOOLS USING THE CURRICULUMDOCUMENTING THE REPORTS OF RISING STANDARDIZED TEXT SCORES FROM SCHOOLS USING THE CURRICULUM.IN LIEU OF PAID REPS, VTH IS DEVELOPING A NETWORK OF VOLUNTEERS FROM RESPECTED ORGANIZATIONS WITH SIMILAR MISSIONS TO INTRODUCE AND IMPLEMENT THE CURRICULUM ACROSS THE NATION. VOLUNTEERS ARE NOW ESTABLISHED IN ALABAMA, CALIFORNIA, CONNECTICUT, GEORGIA, OKLAHOMA, NORTH CAROLINA, SOUTH CAROLINA, TENNESSEE, TEXAS, VIRGINIA AND WASHINGTON. NEW NETWORKS ARE BEING FORMED IN LOUISIANA.TWO DIRECTORS HAVE AVERAGED OVER 5,000 UNPAID HOURS A YEAR. ANOTHER BOARD MEMBER HAS AVERAGED OVER 2,000 UNPAID HOURS A YEAR. OVER 100 VOLUNTEERS IN 10 STATES HAVE WORKED HUNDREDS OF UNPAID HOURS A YEAR.
