THE ALLIANCE FOR I-69 TEXAS EXISTS TO FURTHER THE DEVELOPMENT OF INTERSTATE 69 AS AN INTERNATIONAL TRADE CORRIDOR MOST DIRECTLY CONNECTING MEXICO, U.S. AND CANADA.

IN 2023, THE ALLIANCE FOR I-69 TEXAS (THE ALLIANCE) WAS ACTIVE AT BOTH THE FEDERAL AND STATE LEVELS, ADVOCATING FOR THE COMPLETION OF I-69. THE ALLIANCE WORKED WITH MEMBERS OF THE TEXAS CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION TO SEEK FUNDING FOR LOCAL I-69 PROJECTS. AT THE STATE LEVEL, THE ALLIANCE CONTINUED WORKING WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL UPGRADE PROJECTS ON THE I-69 TEXAS ROUTE, PARTICULARLY PROJECTS THAT ADD NEW CAPACITY OR ENHANCE SAFETY, AND TO SUPPORT INCLUSION OF THOSE PROJECTS IN THE STATE'S UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM (UTP). FINALLY, THE ALLIANCE ACTIVELY ENGAGED WITH THE TEXAS FREIGHT ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO ENSURE THE PROJECT IS A PRIORITY WITHIN THE STATE PLAN.
