FUNDAMENTALS OF GOOD CREDIT PROGRAM: PROVIDES TRAINING IN UNDERSTANDING AND DEVELOPING CREDIT.THE CREDIT COALITION'S, "FUNDAMENTALS OF GOOD CREDIT", IS RECOGNIZED AS AN APPROVED HOMEBUYER COUNSELING/EDUCATION COURSE FOR MANY HOUSTON AREA DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROVIDERS AND MEETS THE FINANCIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENT FOR HOUSTON AND GOLDEN TRIANGLE AREA INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNT (IDA) SAVINGS PROGRAMS.COMPLETION OF THE 15-HOUR "FUNDAMENTALS OF GOOD CREDIT" RESULTS IN THE CLIENT EARNING THE CREDIT COALITION'S FINANCIAL AND HOMEBUYER EDUCATION COMPLETION CERTIFICATE. UPON GRADUATION FROM THE SERIES, EACH CLIENT WILL HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF HIS OWN FINANCIAL WELLNESS AND OVERALL CREDIT HEALTH. THROUGH THE SERIES, "FUNDAMENTALS OF GOOD CREDIT", THE CREDIT COALITION'S CLIENTS ARE EMPOWERED TO CHANGE THEIR LIVES WITH FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE AND REACH THEIR SPECIFIC FINANCIAL AND HOUSING GOALS.THE CREDIT COALITION IS A HUD APPROVED HOUSING COUNSELING AGENCY, A MEMBER OF THE REVERSE MORTGAGE EDUCATION COUNSELING PROJECT AND THE TEXAS AND HOUSTON FORECLOSURE PREVENTION TASK FORCES. THE HOUSTON AND BEAUMONT AREA IDA PROGRAMS AND MANY DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE GREATER HOUSTON AREA ACCEPT THE COMPLETION OF THE "FUNDAMENTALS OF GOOD CREDIT" AS MEETING THE FINANCIAL/HOMEBUYER EDUCATION REQUIREMENT FOR THEIR PROGRAMS.FOR FYE 11/30/2021, 761 CLIENTS WERE SERVED BETWEEN THE DIFFERENT PROGRAMS INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, COMMUNITY FINANCIAL EDUCATION, REVERSE MORTGAGE COUNSELING, AND FORECLOSURE INTERVENTION COUNSELING.
