OUR STRANDING RESPONSE PROGRAM PROVIDED SERVICE THROUGH RESPONSE TO 225 INDIVIDUAL STRANDING EVENTS. TMMSN PROVIDED RESCUE AND RELOCATION ,CARE OR EUTHANASIA FOR LIVE STRANDED ANIMALS AS REQUIRED. VOLUNTEERS DONATED MORE THAN 1,300 HOURS TO THIS PROGRAM. ADDITIONALLY, IMPORTA- NT DATA WAS COLLECTED FROM DEAD STRANDED INDIVIDUALS FOR RESEARCH AND TO INFORM NATURAL RESOURCE MANAGERS FOR CONSERVATION MANAGEMENT. TMMSN RESPONSE TO DEAD STRANDINGS INCLUDED DATA COLLECTION AND DISSEMINATION SAMPLE ANALYSES AND ARCHIVAL, AND NECROPSY INVESTIGATIONS FOR ANIMAL AND HUMAN HEALTH INFORMATION. FINDINGS AND CONSERVATION MEASURES AND TECHNIQUES ARE REPORTED TO THE PUBLIC THROUGH INFORMAL AND FORMAL EDU- CATION SETTINGS.
