THE PRINTING MUSEUM COMPRISES MULTIPLE GALLERIES FEATURING PERMANENT AND TEMPORARY EXHIBITIONS. THE SELECTION OF OBJECTS, ARTIFACTS, RARE DOCUMENTS, FACSIMILES, AND VINTAGE PRESSES ON DISPLAY IN THE MUSEUM'S PERMANENT COLLECTION GALLERIES DEMONSTRATE HOW PRINTING HAS SIGNIFICANTLY CONTRIBUTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF CIVILIZATION, TRANSFORMING OUR LIVES TO THE PRESENT DAY. EXHIBITIONS IN 2021 INCLUDED "NEW DIRECTIONS: 2020-21 ARTISTS-IN-RESIDENCE," "HOPE IS ACTION! CONTEMPORARY LETTERPRESS PRINT EXCHANGE, AND "HEAVEN, EARTH AND THE UNDERWORLD: OLD MASTER PRINTS FROM THE PERMANENT COLLECTION."
THE MUSEUM OF PRINTING HISTORY OFFERS WORKSHOPS THAT TEACH INDIVIDUALS ABOUT THE TOOLS, SKILLS, TRADITIONS, AND PROCESSES OF DIFFERENT HISTORICAL AND CONTEMPORARY PRINTING TECHNOLOGIES. THROUGH HANDS-ON LEARNING AND EDUCATION, THE MUSEUM PROVIDES AN UNDERSTANDING AND ACCESS TO VARYING FORMS OF COMMUNICATION AND SELF-EXPRESSION. IN OUR INCREASINGLY DIGITAL WORLD, WE BELIEVE THAT UNDERSTANDING THE IMPACT OF PAST TECHNOLOGIES AND HOW THEY CONTINUE TO BE USED, REVIVED, AND INTEGRATED INTO OUR DIGITAL SOCIETY IS VALUABLE AND EMPOWERING TO THE INDIVIDUAL AND THE COMMUNITY.
