THE ROTARY CLUB OF MARSHALL IS ONE OF MANY CLUBS, WHO ARE PART OF A CONNECTION WITH ROTARY, AN INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATION (A GLOBAL NETWORK)OF OVER A MILLION PEOPLE WHO COME TOGETHER TO MAKE POSITIVE,LASTING CHANGE IN COMMUNITIES AND COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE ROTARY CLUB PROMOTES PEACE AND PATRIOTISM BY DEPLOYING U.S. FLAGS FOR SEVEN HOLIDAYS DURING THE YEAR. THIS PAST YEAR APPROXIMATELY 760 FLAGS AT OVER 185 LOCATIONS WERE DISPLAYED. WITH THE FUNDS RAISED FROM THIS PROGRAM MANY SCHOOLS AND OTHER NON-PROFITS BENEFIT. ALSO ROTARY'S PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS (LOCALLY, NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY) BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM.


THE LARGEST PROJECT OF THE ROTARY CLUB OF MARSHALL IS THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM. THE SEMI-ENDOWMENT PROGRAM ALLOWS THE CLUB TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS ATTENDING TECHNICAL SCHOOLS, COLLEGES, AND UNIVERSITIES. FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021 THE CLUB AWARDED SCHOLARSHIPS TO 15 STUDENTS, TOTALING $15,000.


THE CLUB SUPPORTS INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS, AS WELL AS LOCAL ONES THROUGH IT'S FLAG PROGRAM. FOR THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2021 THE CLUB SENT $6,400 TO THE ROTARY INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION AND SENT $4,358 TO MISSION MARSHALL (THE LOCAL FOOD PANTRY) TO PROVIDE FOOD FOR THOSE IN NEED. IT ALSO SUPPORTED: FOREIGN MISSION PROJECTS - $40,200; THE LOCAL LITERACY ORGANIZATION AND PROVIDED DICTIONARIES TO THIRD GRADE STUDENTS IN THE COUNTY - $1,466; SUPPORTED ROTARY PROGRAMS, SUCH AS RYLA - $1,050, THE BACKPACK (STUDENTS FOOD)PROGRAM $1,000- AND OTHER PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS - $750.
