THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONGVIEW'S PRIMARY PURPOSE IS TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY THROUGH THE EFFECTIVE ACTIONS AND LEADERSHIP OF TRAINED VOLUNTEERS. ITS PURPOSE IS EXCLUSIVELY EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE.

GRANTS AND ALLOCATIONS - THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONGVIEW (JLL) PROVIDED GRANTS TO CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AND 25 SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS DURING THE YEAR ENDED MAY 31, 2022 WHICH INCLUDED ALLOCATIONS OF $90,186 FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS FROM SESQUICENTENNIAL GRANT FUNDS AND $3,488 TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS. THE SCHOOL SUPPLY TRAIN PROJECT WAS ALLOCATED APPROXIMATELY $42,000 WHICH PURCHASES BACK-PACKS, SUPPLIES, AND SERVICES FOR NEEDING CHILDREN AND FAMILIES, BENEFITING APPROXIMATELY 2,300 LOCAL CHILDREN. GRANTS AND ALLOCATIONS ARE MADE TO FURTHER PROMOTE JLL'S MISSION. SESQUICENTINNIAL GRANT RECEPIENTS:-GRACIOUSLY BROKEN WAS ALLOCATED $12,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF A PLAYGROUND.-EAST TEXAS LITERACY COUNCIL WAS ALLOCATED $6,094 FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURCHASING AZTEC GED SOFTWARE.-ASBURY HOUSE WAS AWARDED $23,000 FOR THE PURPOSE OF A KITCHEN RENOVATION.-HEARTISANS MARKETPLACE WAS AWARDED $6,000 FOR A NEW HVAC UNIT.-THE WOMEN'S CENTER WAS AWARDED $29,985 FOR A GENERATOR.-BUCKNER WAS AWARDED $11,000 FOR EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS.-PARTNERS IN PREVENTION WAS AWARDED $2,107 FOR A PRACTICAL NEEDS FUND.VOLUNTEER MATTERS IS AN ON-LINE TOOL OUR MEMBERS USE TO SIGN-UP AND VOLUNTEER AT THE ABOVE LISTED PROGRAMS.

NATIONAL DUES - THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LONGVIEW (JLL) IS A MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION OF JUNIOR LEAGUES INTERNATIONAL, INC. (THE ASSOCIATION). AS A MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION, THE LEAGUE PAYS ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES TO SUPPORT THE ASSOCIATION. THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES GUIDANCE AND REGULATIONS FOR JLL TO FOLLOW.
