SUPPORTING LOCAL NON-PROFITS IN THEIR EFFORTS TO SERVE THE LITTLE ROCK COMMUNITY. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE A NON-PROFIT BOARD TRAINING COURSE, A NON-PROFIT CENTER WITHIN OUR HEADQUARTERS SPACE AVAILABLE TO NON-PROFITS AT BELOW MARKET RENT, AND ACCESS TO TRAINING AND SHARED RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE EFFORTS OF VARIOUS NON-PROFITS IN THE COMMUNITY.
PROVIDE OUR MEMBERS WITH A MINIMUM OF SEVEN YEARS OF SPECIALIZED VOLUNTEER AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING WITH THE GOAL OF DEVELOPING TRAINED VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE COMMUNITY LEADERS BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE ORGANIZATION, AS WELL AS IN OTHER COMMUNITY AND WORK ENVIRONMENTS.
DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS DIRECTED AT IMPROVING THE LIVES OF CHILDREN IN LITTLE ROCK. THESE PROGRAMS PROVIDE OVER 3,000 STUDENTS IN 7 LITTLE ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHOOLS WITH REQUIRED SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND BACKPACKS. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE A LITERACY DAY FOR PRE-SCHOOL AGED CHILDREN IN LITTLE ROCK, INCLUDING 2 TO 3 BOOKS FOR EACH CHILD TO TAKE HOME. CAMPS ARE HELD EACH SUMMER SERVING CHILDREN WITH AND WITHOUT DISABILITIES.
DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS THAT SERVE WOMEN AND FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING WEEKLY EMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOR COUNTLESS FAMILIES WHOSE CHILDREN ARE HOSPITALIZED AND OFFER A FREE DAY OF SAFETY AWARENESS AND HEALTHY LIVING EDUCATION SERVING MORE THAN 1,000 FAMILIES. AT THE EVENT HEALTH, DENTAL AND VISION SCREENING ARE PROVIDED AT NO CHARGE.
