THE MISSION OF THE BASTROP COUNTY EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY & SUPPORT CENTER IS TO SERVE BASTROP COUNTY RESIDENTS GOING THROUGH PERIODS OF TRANSITION BY PROVIDING EMERGENCY FOOD ASSISTANCE, EDUCATION AND SUPPORT.

THE MISSION OF THE BASTROP COUNTY EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY & SUPPORT CENTER IS TO SERVE ALL PEOPLE IN BASTROP COUNTY WITH BASIC HUNGER NEEDS AND SUPPORT SERVICES. APPROXIMATELY 2,088 INDIVIDUALS WERE SERVED WITH 176,953 POUNDS OF FOOD DISTRIBUTED. SINCE ITS INCEPTION, THE FOOD PANTRY HAS BECOME A MULTI-SERVICE AGENCY, COMMITTED TO PROVIDING VITAL CLIENT SERVICES, IN ADDITION TO FOOD. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE: COUNSELING, ADVOCACY, RESOURCE MANAGEMENT, EDUCATION AND REFERRALS TO OTHER LOCAL AGENCIES FOR ADDITIONAL SUPPORT, SUCH AS JOB TRAINING.
