NHS MEETS ITS MISSION OF "BUILDING SUCCESSFUL FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH HOUSING OPPORTUNTIES" THROUGH: LENDING (EXISTING & NEW CONSTRUCTION & SUBSTANIAL REHAB FOR DISABLED), COMPREHENSIVE HOMEBUYERS CONSELING (CREDIT, PRE, POST, FORECLOSURE PREVENTION), SUBDIVISION DEVELOPMENT, LOAN SERVICING, AND BUILDER. NHS IS A DESIGNATED COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FINANCE INSTITUTE(CDFI)BY THE U.S. TREASURY. NHS PROVIDES LOW INTEREST RATE LOANS FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION, DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE AND HOME IMPROVEMENT FOR LOW TO MODERATE INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES.
