ROTARY IS A CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION WHOSE MEMBERS RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT LOCAL PROJECTS THAT COME TO THE ATTENTION OF THE CLUB AND SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS THAT ARE BROUGHT TO THE LOCAL CLUB'S ATTENTION BY ROTARY INTERNATIONAL.

Part 3
THE ROTARY CLUB OF PORT ARTHUR HOST AN ANNUAL TASTE OF GUMBO TO RAISE FUNDS FOR LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS. THE ORGANZIATIONS THAT BENEFITED FROM THIS PROJECT ARE CAPLAND SPEECH THERAPY CENTER, COMMUNITY CARE PRAYER OUTREACH, CATHOLIC CHARITIES, MUSTARD SEED MINISTRIES, SEAFARER CENTER, UNITED BOARD OF MISSIONS AND YMCA STRONG KIDS.
THE CLUB USES DUES AND OTHER FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS, CAVOILCADE, COMMUNITY CARE PRAYER OUTREACH, PORT ARTHUR INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT DICTIONARY PROJECT, PORT ARTHUR HIGHER EDUCATION FUND, ROTARY INTERNATIONAL AND OTHER LOCAL PROJECTS.
