WE ARE THE MODEL IN THE REGION FOR PROMOTING HEALTHY SOCIAL, EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL ENGAGEMENTS FOR ADULTS 55 AND OLDER THROUGH PROGRAMMED ACTIVITIES AND SOCIAL OPPORTUNITIES.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
THE SENIOR CENTER PROVIDES A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES GEARED TOWARD INCREASING SOCIALIZATION AND IMPROVING PHYSICAL AND MENTAL FITNESS. DUE TO COVID, ONSITE ACTIVITIES WERE SUSPENDED UNTIL APRIL 2021, HOWEVER, THE ONSITE NUTRITION PROGRAM REMAINED OPERATIONAL USING DRIVE THRU SERVICES. VIRTUAL METHODS WERE UTILIZED IN LIEU OF ONSITE ACTIVITIES. TRANSPORTATION AND ONSITE ACTIVITIES RESUMED IN APRIL 2021 USING COVID PRECAUTIONS AND RESTRICTING THE NUMBER OF CLASS PARTICIPANTS.
