EIGHTEEN (18) RESEARCH MEMOS AND ONE (1) STUDY WERE DISTRIBUTED IN 2021. TOPICS EXAMINED WERE THE ECONOMY, FISCAL POLICY, EDUCATION POLICY, CIVIL JUSTICE REFORM, AND ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE IN ARKANSAS. ISSUES INCLUDED (ECONOMY) ARKANSAS ECONOMIC CONDITIONS AND THE STATE OF THE U.S. RECOVERY FOLLOWING THE 2020 RECESSION, PAYROLL EMPLOYMENT GROWTH, CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, MINIMUM WAGE RATES, THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE; (FISCAL POLICY)INCOME TAXES, ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, EFFICIENCY IN STATE GOVERNMENT, PROPOSED SPENDING LIMITS, STATE GOVERNMENT REORGANIZATION; (EDUCATON REFORM)CHARTER SCHOOLS, SCHOOL CHOICE, THE LITTLE ROCK SCHOOL DISTRICT, EDUCATION MARKETS IN PULASKI,SEBASTIAN AND WHITE COUNTIES; AND (MEDICAL CARE) INCREASING ACCESS TO MEDICAL CARE IN RURAL ARKANSAS.CITIZENSHIP: THE FOUNDATION DISTRIBUTES ITS RESEARCH THROUGH ITS WEBSITE (WWW.ARKANSASPOLICYFOUNDATION.ORG)AND THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE. THE FOUNDATION PARTICIPATES WITH CIVIC AND COMMUNITY GROUPS, INCLUDING PRESENTATIONS TO SERVICE CLUBS. THE FOUNDATION'S GOVERNMENT BOARD INCLUDES AN ECONOMIST, ACCOUNTANT, RETIRED K-12 ADMINISTRATOR, RETIRED SENIOR, PHYSICIAN FOUNDATON EXECUTIVE, INVESTMENT PROFESSIONAL AND FIVE MEMBERS OF THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY.
