Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

Part 3 - Line 4a

SANT DOR FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO RESCUING AND REHABILITATING HOMELESS AND ABANDONED ANIMALS IN LOS ANGELES. WE ARE COMMITTED TO PROVIDING A SAFE HAVEN, MEDICAL CARE, AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE TO EVERY ANIMAL THAT COMES THROUGH OUR DOORS. WHILE WE STRIVE TO FIND PERMANENT, LOVING HOMES FOR ALL OUR ANIMALS, THOSE WHO ARE NOT ADOPTED WILL ALWAYS HAVE A HOME WITH US. WE ADOPTED 194 ANIMALS DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED FEBRUARY 28, 2024.OUR MISSION EXTENDS BEYOND RESCUE. WE SERVE AS A REPUTABLE EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY RESOURCE, ADDRESSING THE CRITICAL ISSUE OF OVERPOPULATION IN LOS ANGELES. THROUGH OUR COMPREHENSIVE OUTREACH PROGRAMS, WE OFFER RESCUE SERVICES, TNR (TRAP-NEUTER-RETURN), NETWORKING, ADOPTION COUNSELING, AND SUPPORT TO COUNTLESS INDIVIDUALS EACH YEAR. WHETHER THROUGH EVENTS, PHONE CONSULTATIONS, OR EMAIL, WE ARE HERE TO ASSIST OUR COMMUNITY IN NAVIGATING THE CHALLENGES OF ANIMAL CARE AND REHOMING, ESPECIALLY DURING TIMES OF HARDSHIP OR EMERGENCY. OUR AIM IS TO EMPOWER THE PEOPLE WE SERVE TO MAKE A LASTING IMPACT ON THE LIVES OF ANIMALS IN NEED. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, WE HELPED APPROXIMATELY 13 ANIMALS MONTHLY WHICH WE DID NOT TAKE IN FOR ADOPTION.THROUGH THESE EFFORTS, SANT DOR IS NOT JUST SAVING LIVES BUT ALSO CREATING A MORE HUMANE AND RESPONSIBLE COMMUNITY.

OUR GOAL IS TO STABLILIZE AND IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE AND EVENTUALLY REDUCE THE POPULATION OF FERAL AND COMMUNITY CATS. BY PREVENTING NEW LITTERS OF KITTENS AND ADDRESSING THE HEALTH OF EXISTING CATS, TNR CAN LEAD TO A MORE HUMANE AND MANAGEABLE SITUATION WITH IMPROVED LIFE WITH LESS SUFFERING, LESS COMPETITION FOR RESOURCES AND LESS HARDSHIP.OUR VOLUNTEER TRAPPERS EXTEND THEIR SKILLS TO TRAP ILL AND INJURED COMMUNITY CATS AND HELP THEM GET TREATMENT IN ADDITION TO SPAY/NEUTER SURGERY. THIS PROGRAM HELPS PREVENT OVERPOPULATION IN THE FELINE COLONIES AND REDUCES THE STRAIN ON SHELTERS AND ANIMAL RESCUES. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR, SANTE DOR TNR'D 187 CATS.
