WE HELD OUR THIRD IN-PERSON DANCE FESTIVAL THIS YEAR FROM JULY 25TH TO AUGUST 8TH. WE HAD THOUGHT 33 STUDENTS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY FOR 2 WEEKS ON THE CAMPUS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CENTRAL OKLAHOMA. WE PRODUCED 6 PERFORMANCES OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND SERVED AN AUDIENCE OF 400 PEOPLE IN PERSON AND OVER 1000 VIRTUALLY. WE HELD A FREE OPEN COMMUNITY SATURDAY, AUGUST 31ST WITH FREE CLASSES FOR DANCERS AGED 11-17 AND THEY ALSO RECEIVED TICKETS TO SEE OUR CHOREOGRAPHY SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE. THE CHOREOGRAPHY SHOWCASE WAS ONE OF 8 DIFFERENT PERFORMANCES PRODUCED DURING THE FESTIVAL. THE SHOWCASE WAS AN OPEN CALL FOR CHOREOGRAPHERS TO PARTICIPATE IN A FULLY PRODUCED EVENING OF DANCE AT NO COST FOR THE PRODUCTION. THERE WERE COMPANIES FROM TEXAS, NEW YORK CITY, MEMPHIS, AND OKLAHOMA DANCING TOGETHER FOR THIS WONDERFUL EVENING OF DANCE. DUAL RIVET AND RICHARD MOVE CAME FROM NEW YORK CITY AND WERE OUR ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE. WE ALSO HAD THE NHI-MU COMPANY, A GROUP OF 3 PERFORMERS IN A CREATIVE RESIDENCY THIS YEAR. DUAL RIVET GAVE TWO PERFORMANCES NHI-MU SHOWED A WORK IN PROGRESS. WE HOSTED TWO-PANEL DISCUSSIONS ONE ON DANCE FOR PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED ARTISTS, WITH A FOCUS ON INCLUSION AND DIVERSITY. THE SECOND PANEL WAS ON FEMALE CHOREOGRAPHERS AND CREATIVE ARTIS.
