THE MISSION OF COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS IS TO SURROUND STUDENTS WITH A COMMUNITY OF SUPPORT, EMPOWERING THEM TO STAY IN SCHOOL AND ACHIEVE IN LIFE.

COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF MIAMI, INC. CEASED PROVIDING SERVICES ON JUNE 30, 2020. DURING THE PERIOD OF JULY 1 TO DECEMBER 14, 2020, THE ORGANIZATION WORKED WITH ITS CONTRACTS TO FINALIZE ALL ITS FISCAL AND REPORTING OBLIGATIONS. THE AGENCY SOLD A FEW OF ITS ASSETS WHILE IT DONATED MOST TO OTHER LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. ALL KNOWN DEBTS WERE PAID OFF. THE OFFICE SPACE WAS RETURNED AND ALL DOCUMENTATION WAS SCANNED AS REQUIRED FOR RETENTION PURPOSES. FINAL TAXES WERE ALL ADDRESSED PRIOR TO FINAL CLOSURE. ALL FINAL MONIES WERE PAID OUT LEAVING A ZERO BALANCE CLOSING OUT THE BANK ACCOUNT.
