THE SANDPIPER SHORES PTA IS DEDICATED TO ENRICHING THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE OF STUDENTS AND FOSTERING A STRONG SENSE OF COMMUNITY THIS YEAR THE PTA FOCUSED ON SEVERAL KEY INITIATIVES TO SUPPORT STUDENT LITERACY PROMOTE COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND ENHANCE EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES LITERACY SUPPORT TO INSPIRE A LOVE OF READING THE PTA PURCHASED A BOOK VENDING MACHINE AND PROVIDED EACH STUDENT WITH A FREE BOOK TO ENCOURAGE INDEPENDENT READING THIS INITIATIVE ENSURES THAT ALL STUDENTS HAVE ACCESS TO BOOKS FOSTERING LIFELONG LITERACY SKILLS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT EVENTS TO STRENGTHEN THE BOND BETWEEN FAMILIES STUDENTS AND STAFF THE PTA INTRODUCED TWO ANNUAL EVENTS THE SANDPIPER SHORES CARNIVAL WHICH BROUGHT TOGETHER THE SCHOOL COMMUNITY FOR A DAY OF FUN GAMES AND ACTIVITIES A TRUNK OR TREAT EVENT THAT CREATED A SAFE AND FESTIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR FAMILIES TO CELEBRATE TOGETHER SUPPORT FOR SCHOOL CLUBS THE PTA PROVIDED FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO VARIOUS SCHOOL CLUBS HELPING TO ENHANCE EXTRACURRICULAR PROGRAMS THAT ENRICH STUDENTS INTERESTS AND PERSONAL GROWTH THESE INITIATIVES ALIGN WITH THE PTAS MISSION TO ADVOCATE FOR STUDENTS EDUCATIONAL NEEDS PROMOTE FAMILY INVOLVEMENT AND BUILD A VIBRANT SCHOOL COMMUNITY
