ANNUAL CONVENTION AND CONFERENCES TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION AND SHARE SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE WITH MEMBERSHIP OF APPROXIMATELY 750 AND WITH OTHERS IN ATTENDANCE.


THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS WITHIN ALABAMA FOR VETERINARY MEDICINE AND AWARDS STUDENTS AND VETERINARIANS IN ALABAMA FOR EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE.


THE ALABAMA VETERINARIAN IS THE PRINTED COMMUNICATION CHANNEL FOR ALVMA. PUBLISHED TWICE PER YEAR IN THE SPRING AND FALL, THIS 4-COLOR MAGAZINE PROVIDES INFORMATION ON CURRENT ISSUES IN THE FIELD OF VETERINARY MEDICINE AS WELL ENTERTAINING STORIES ABOUT ITS MEMBERS. THE SPRING ISSUE CONTAINS INFORMATION ABOUT THE SUMMER CONVENTION; THE FALL ISSUE COVERS THE SUMMER CONVENTIONS ACTIVITY AND CONTAINS INFORMATION ABOUT THE WINTER PRODUCTION ANIMAL CONFERENCE.
