SUPPORTING AND STRENGTHENING AN INFANT MENTAL HEALTH WORKFORCE TO BETTER SERVE THE YOUNG CHILDREN AND FAMILIES OF FLORIDA.

AS AN INNOVATIVE RESPONSE TO THE PANDEMIC, THE ORGANIZATION BEGAN ITS FACES ARE ESSENTIAL INITIATIVE IN 2020. THE PURPOSE OF THE INITIATIVE WAS TO PROVIDE SEE-THROUGH MASKS TO THE CAREGIVERS OF INFANTS AND YOUNG CHILDREN. BY SEEING THEIR CAREGIVERS' FULL, UNCOVERED FACES, THESE INFANTS AND YOUNG CHILDREN WOULD HELP MAINTAIN PROPER BRAIN DEVELOPMENT DURING THE PANDEMIC. THE ORGANIZATION SOLD THESE MASKS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THROUGHOUT FLORIDA, WHO THEN DONATED THE MASKS TO CHILDCARE PROGRAMS AND PROVIDERS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE COMMUNITIES. THE PROGRAM ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2021.


IN 2020, FAIMH CONVERTED THE TRAINING ACADEMY FROM IN PERSON TRAININGS TO VIRTUAL TRAININGS. FAIMH CONTINUES OFFER TRAINING VIRTUALLY. FAIMH CONTINUES TO EXPAND ENDORSEMENT AND WILL OPEN ENDORSEMENT TO THE FLORIDA PUBLIC IN THE FALL OF 2022.
