THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO: 1)PROVIDE CONTINUING EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES FOR HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONALS IN THE CENTRAL FLORIDA AREA. 2)PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS TO OUTSTANDING HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT STUDENTS TO ASSIST WITH THE OUT OF POCKET EDUCATIONAL EXPENSES. 3)SERVE AS A BRIDGE BETWEEN LOCAL HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS AND THE STATE ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE JOB OPPORTUNITES FOR MEMBERS.
