THE ORGANIZATION'S SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE TRANSPORTATION PROVISION AND CARE FOR ELDERLY CITIZENS.

CALCO TRAVEL:CALCO TRAVEL IS A SPECIALIZED SENIOR TRAVEL AGENCY CREATED TO ARRANGE SPECIAL TRIPS AND VACATIONS FOR PERSONS OF ALL AGES. THE AFFORDABLE PRICING ALLOWS ANYONE TO TRAVEL AFAR ON GROUP VACATIONS TO A VARIETY OF EXOTIC DESTINATIONS IN ADDITION TO NATIONWIDE TOURS. PROFITS EARNED HELP SUPPLEMENT FUNDING FOR CALHOUN TRANSIT AND THE CALHOUN COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS ASSOCIATION, WHICH BENEFIT SENIORS AND THE ELDERLY OF CALHOUN COUNTY, FLORIDA.
CALHOUN TRANSIT:CALHOUN COUNTY TRANSIT IS THE COMMUNITY TRANSPORTATION COORDINATOR (CTC) FOR CALHOUN COUNTY FL. TRANSPORTATION SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC BY WAY OF A RESERVATION SYSTEM. CURRENTLY, TRANSPORTATION IS OFFERED UNDER TWO PROGRAMS TO INCLUDE THE MEDICAID RECIPIENT PROGRAM AND THE TRANSPORTATION DISADVANTAGE PROGRAM. THROUGH THE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAMS, PARTICIPANTS ARE ABLE TO ATTEND APPOINTMENTS THAT ARE LOCATED ACROSS NORTHWEST FLORIDA AND SOUTHERN ALABAMA AT A LOW COSTS.
THE SENIOR CITIZENS ASSOCIATION:ADULT PROGRAMS AND SERVICES DESIGNED TO ASSIST CALHOUN COUNTY SENIORS AND THOSE THAT ARE HOMEBOUND. THE OLDER AMERICANS ACT PROGRAM PROVIDES FOR CONGREGATE MEALS, HEALTH SUPPORT RECREATION, AND EDUCATION, FOR THOSE 60 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER. IN ADDITION, THE EXTENDED SERVICES AND PROGRAMS PROVIDE THOSE THAT ARE HOMEBOUND WITH SERVICES SUCH AS PERSONAL CARE, HOME DELIVERED MEALS, RESPITE AND MORE.
