THE CHAMBER SHALL PROVIDE A FORUM TO FACILITATE AND BUILD RELATIONSHIPS AMONG BUSINESS OWNERS. TO FURTHER ASSIST BUSINESS AND COMMERCIAL INTEREST, THE CHAMBER SHALL: ADVANCE THE CIVIC AND COMMERICAL INTEREST OF THE AREA, PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE AND PROSPERITY OF THE AREA, PROMOTE ECONONMIC PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO STRENGTHEN AND EXPAND THE INCOME POTENTIAL OF BUSINESSES WITHIN THE TRADE AREA, PROMOTE REASONABLE COMMUNITY GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT, DISCOVER AND CORRECT FACTORS WHICH PREVENT THE PROMOTION OF BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY GROWTH AND PROVIDE INFORMATION IN ORDER TO FOSTER KNOWLEDGEABLE OPINIONS REGARDING RELEVANT COMMERCIAL AFFAIRS.

THE CHAMBER IS SUCCESSFUL IN SUPPORTING AND MAINTAINING ITS MEMBERSHIP BY PROVIDING MEANS OF ADVERTISING FOR MEMBERS. IT OFFERS CHAMBER WEBSITE ADVERTISING, SOCIAL MEDIA RECOGNITION, LETTERS OF SUPPORT, PRINTED AND ONLINE MEMBER DIRECTORY, AND WEEKLY NEWSLETTERS. IT ALSO FOCUSES ON EVENTS FOR MEMBER NETWORKING SUCH AS ANNUAL INSTALLATION BANQUET, BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS, AFTERHOURS MIXERS, LUNCHEONS, WORKSHOPS, AND RIBBON CUTTINGS. MEMBERS ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO FREE EDUCATION THROUGH BURTE POOLE SCHOLARSHIPS. THE CHAMBER OFFICE RESIDES IN A HISTORICAL BUILDING WHICH IT LEASES AND MAINTAINS. THE LOW COUNTRY BOIL FUNDRAISER IS HELD TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE FUTURE BUILDING OF THE CHAMBER OFFICE STAFF AND PROVIDES A YEARLY EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP.
