THE HOSPITAL AUXILIARY RECRUITS, DIRECTS AND PROVIDES ALL HUMAN RESOURCE FUNCTIONS FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS THAT WORK AT THE HOSPITAL; 90 IN THE YEAR ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2022. IN 2022, THE AUXILIARY VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED 9,831 HIGHLY SKILLED HOURS PERFORMING DUTIES THE HOSPITAL WOULD NEED TO STAFF IN THEIR ABSENCE. IN ADDITION TO SERVING OTHERS AS THEY WORK WITHIN THE WALLS OF THE HOSPITAL, THE AUXILIARY VOLUNTEERS ACT AS PUBLIC RELATION ADVOCATES FOR THE HOSPITAL AMONG THEIR NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS. THEY TAKE GREAT PRIDE IN PROVIDING MEANINGFUL SERVICES THAT IMPROVE THE LIVES OF OTHERS. THE TEENAGE VOLUNTEERS OBTAIN POSITIVE EXPOSURE TO COMMUNITY SERVICE, AND FOR THOSE INTERESTED IN CAREERS IN HEALTHCARE, OBTAIN FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE OF WHAT A CAREER IN MEDICINE HAS TO OFFER.
