THE EXEMPT PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO REPRESENT APPROXIMATELY 3900 CLASSROOM TEACHER MEMBERS IN CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD, TO COMMUNICATE THE ASSOCIATION'S VIEWS TO APPROPRIATE ELECTED OFFICIALS, AND TO PARTICIPATE IN CONVENTIONS AND TRAINING SESSIONS WITH VARIOUS ORGANIZATIONAL AFFILIATES FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE TEACHING PROFESSION.
