LOCAL 613 WAS CREATED TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN ADEQUATE WAGES; TO REQUIRE OF OUR MEMBERS SKILL AND INTELLIGENCE; TO ESTABLISH AN UNIFORM SYSTEM OF TRAINING; TO DEFEND OUR RIGHTS AND ADVANCE OUR INTERESTS OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS BY ALL LAWFUL MEANS; TO AID AND PROTECT OUR UNEMPLOYED, DISTRESSED AND SICK MEMBERS; TO AID AND ENCOURAGE ALL HONORABLE EFFORTS THAT WILL BETTER CONDITIONS OF LABOR; TO PROMOTE THE PRACTICE OF CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION IN THE SETTLEMENT OF DIFFERENCES WITH OUR EMPLOYERS AND TO MAKE OUR CARD AND SEAL A CERTIFICATE OF FRATERNITY, HONESTY, EFFICIENCY AND RELIABILITY.
