NETWORKING-SFMA HOLDS A NUMBER OF POPULAR NETWORKING EVENTS WHICH INCLUDE: -PLANT TOURS -SOCIALS -GOLF TOURNAMENT -RECOGNITION OF EXCELLENCE AWARDS BANQUET -ANNUAL MEETINGWORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT-FINDING A QUALIFIED WORKFORCE IS ALWAYS A CHALLENGE FOR MANUFACTURERS HERE IN SOUTH FLORIDA. SFMA HELPS MEMBERS BY PROVIDING TRAINING, GRANT ASSISTANCE, JOB FAIRS, NETWORKING AND MUCH MORE.GRANT ASSISTANCE-THE SFMA ASSISTS MEMBERS IN PROCURING GRANT DOLLARS TO OFFSET TRAINING COSTS. THE SFMA, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH FLORIDAMAKES, ASSISTED MEMBERS IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF TRAINING PLANS AND ITS MEMBERS SUBMIED TRAINING GRANTS TO SECURE FUNDING FROM CAREERSOURCE FLORIDA.FLORIDAMAKES -FLORIDAMAKES IS A STATEWIDE, INDUSTRY-LED, PUBLIC-PRIVATE ORGANIZAON DESIGNED TO HELP GROW MANUFACTURING GDP IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA.PARTNERSHIP.
