FOUNDED IN 1910, THE GREATER FORT LAUDERDALE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS THE OLDEST AND LARGEST BUSINESS ORGANIZATION IN BROWARD COUNTY AND IT IS APPARENT THAT THROUGHOUT OUR HISTORY WE HAVE TRANSITIONED TO BETTER SERVE THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY.IN ADDITION TO BEING THE #1 GO TO SOURCE FOR THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY,THE CHAMBER OFFERS UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES FOR ITS MEMBERS THROUGH SPECIAL EVENTS, REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY FORUM PROGRAMS, LEADS GROUPS, NETWORKING FUNCTIONS, LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS, TRUSTEE RECEPTIONS, BUSINESS AFTER HOURS, AREA COUNCIL FUNCTIONS, AN ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT AS WELL AS GENERAL MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS.

THE CHAMBER PRODUCES OF 175 EVENTS ATTRACTING OVER 12,000 PARTICIPANTS ANNUALLY RELATING TO ECONOMIC RETENTION AND EXPANSION, PUBULIC POLICY, NON-PROFIT SOLIDARITY, TOURISM INTERNATIONAL MARINE AND A HOST OF OTHER FUNCTIONS. AS A FULL-SERVICE CHAMBER, IT PROVIDES BUSINESS OWNERS WITH UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPAND THEIR BUSINESS.


PERSPECTIVE ON FLORIDA'S HEALTHCARE - EXCELLENCE IN HEALTHCARE AWARDS - WITH THE COLLABORATION OF SUNSHINE HEALTH,MEMORIAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM, BAPTIST - HEALTHCARE SOUTH FLORIDA, BROWARD HEALTH, HOLY CROSS HOSPITAL, VITAS HEALTHCARE CORPORATION OF FLORIDA, SYLVESTER/UHEALTH, UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI AND MANY OTHERS, THE CHAMBER HELD PANEL DISCUSSIONS FOCUSED ON OVERCOMING MENTAL ILLNESS STIGMAS IN THE WORKPLACE, OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES FOR QUALITY HEALTHCARE IMPROVEMENT THROUGH THE MANAGED CARE SYSTEM.
