ROTARY CLUB OPERATIONS: THE ROTARY CLUB OF BUCKHEAD IS ONE OF THE LARGER CLUBS IN THE ATLANTA METRO AREA. THE CLUB IS FOCUSED ON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, HEALTH AND DISEASE, YOUTH AND EDUCATION, AND INTERNATIONAL SERVICE. AT THE END OF THE YEAR, THE CLUB'S TOTAL MEMBERSHIP WAS APPROXIMATELY 110.
YOUTH SERVICES: SINCE 1965 THE ROTARY CLUB OF BUCKHEAD HAS SPONSORED A 7TH GRADE BASKETBALL LEAGUE FOR BOYS. IN ADDITION TO A FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION, THE CLUB HAS CONTINUED TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE EACH WEEK WITH RUNNING THE SCOREBOARD AND STATS FOR EACH GAME. THIS EVENT IS WELL KNOWN IN THE COMMUNITY, ESPECIALLY AMONG THE PARENTS OF THE PRIVATE SCHOOL BOYS WHO ATTEND THE GAMES.
